Whiten Yellow Teeth with Strawberry, Banana, Coconut Oil, Coal Paste

Whiten Teeth

If you are suffering from yellow teeth, then follow these tips that will make you boast a charming smile and at the same time save money.

Sodium Bicarbonate and Hydrogen Peroxide

Sodium bicarbonate and hydrogen peroxide are the most commonly used home remedies for teeth whitening.

Tip: Mix sodium bicarbonate and hydrogen peroxide in a toothpaste and use it instead of the usual one. Simply add few drops of peroxide to the baking soda and stir until a paste forms. Then put it on your toothbrush and that’s it.

It is not advisable to use this paste daily because both ingredients are abrasive and can damage the teeth. It is best to use it for 3-5 days and then wait 3-6 months before using it again.

Strawberry

Ever imagined using strawberry for yellow teeth?

Strawberries contain malic acid, which is ideal for dissolving coffee, red wine and tea stains on the teeth. Grind 1 or 2 strawberries and add a teaspoon of baking soda. Using a children’s toothbrush (this helps to clean better between teeth), rub this mixture onto your teeth for 5 to 7 minutes. Then, floss to remove seeds from jammed strawberries.

It is not good to overuse this remedy. Jam acid can bite your teeth and, in the worst case, make them more susceptible to staining.

Banana Mask

You can use the inside of a banana peel, which is rich in potassium, magnesium, manganese, and other minerals, to whiten your teeth. Minerals in a banana are absorbed by the enamel providing sparkling effects. This natural remedy should be used after brushing and flossing. Just peel a ripe banana and then rub a piece of the inside of the shell on your teeth for 2-3 minutes. Once this is done, rinse your mouth and repeat the steps. This is best recommended to do before going to sleep.

Gargles of Apple Vinegar

Diluted apple vinegar gives any toothpaste a boost of effectiveness. It is advisable to dilute it in the triple quantity of water and then mix it with a natural toothpaste and brush as usual.

Homemade Toothpaste with Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has many healthy nutrients which also includes fatty acids. These acids get dissolved into teeth whitening enzymes after coming in contact with saliva. The combination of saliva in your mouth and fatty acids produces an oxygen molecule that gets attached to the yellow stains on your teeth. This oxidation-free remedy has a creates a chemical reaction that helps in removing stains when you brush and rinse your teeth.

But be careful to not let this oil in your mouth for more than 15 minutes. Here’s a simple recipe that is just as effective: first, heat a cup of coconut oil until it becomes liquid. Then add 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 5 to 10 drops of peppermint to the liquid mixture and stir and then use.

Coal Paste

Activated charcoal is a another home remedy because of its detoxifying benefits. It also turns out to be useful for teeth whitening, as their granules adhere to bacteria before they are stained. Mix charcoal with a small amount of water and apply it gently on your teeth. Let it stand for two minutes and then rinse with water until no residues remain.
